Dr Beatrice W. Muriithi

Dr Muriithi is a postdoctoral fellow in the icipe Social Science and Impact Assessment Unit.

Her work focuses on the assessment of the socio-economic and gender impacts of the Centre’s technologies. Her research interests include development economics, microeconomics, institutional economics, impact assessment, and gender analysis and food security.

She holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the Center of Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn, Germany.

She has close to 10 years of development research experience in both interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, including as a junior researcher at ZEF and as a research assistant at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
