Strategic Partnerships

The activities under this focus area include:

  • Public relations and networking to enhance relationships with relevant partners (farmers’ associations, public and private sectors, non governmental organisations).
  • Marketing, by developing a strategy for icipe technologies.
  • Market identification and access: TTU will link up with relevant partners to analyse the best distribution mechanisms for technologies and product spin-offs, and to identify links to value chains.
  • Business incubation: TTU and private sector partners shall promote business incubation models for the establishment of micro-enterprises based on icipe technologies. The target beneficiaries include small-scale farmers, the youth, women’s associations, the vulnerable and marginalised, among others.
