The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) will be to produce a high-quality Safeguarding training pack which enables RSIF to deliver training on scholars and African Host University staff on Sexual harassment and Grievance Redress Mechanisms, in order to change attitudes, build and strengthen a culture that prevents and reduces prevalence of abuse and inform on the consequences of abuse. The pack should include a manual that can be used both internally and externally by staff and partners with minimal adaptation for context.

The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria is:

  1. An Advanced Degree in either Psychology, Law, Social Work, Social Sciences and other related field.
  2. At least 5 years of practical experience in implementing, social safeguards and gender interventions for education and other similar projects or programs funded by World Bank and/or other donor funded projects.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
