Provision of Consultancy Service to Undertake an External Review of Biovision-Funded Project Entitled Integrated Sustainable Production of Tomatoes (ISPOT) in Kenya
The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that carries out research and training in sustainable management of insects (arthropods) for improving comprehensive health and agricultural productivity in the tropics (www.icipe.org).
icipe seeks to engage two (2) reviewers (IPM Specialist and Socioeconomist) with experience in assessing change in complex systems and with expertise and knowledge in the fields of agriculture, (in particular vegetables), capacity building and social science. The reviewers are expected to develop an analytical framework of questions and sub-questions, based on the review questions defined in this ToRs, and consistent with the project Results framework and Theory of Change. icipe now invites interested qualified person(s) who are able to demonstrate technical capability to successfully deliver the above-mentioned assignment.
Interested parties should have:
IPM Specialist (reviewer 1) - at minimum, a PhD in Entomology with at least 5 years working experience on vegetable pests. Please attach detailed CV and copies of certificates.
Socioeconomist (reviewer 2) – at minimum, a PhD in Agricultural Economics and/or Rural development with at least 5 years working experience agriculture related. Please attach detailed CV and copies of certificates.
At least 5 years’ experience as an evaluator with demonstrated quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis skills.
Proven experience in evaluating similar projects. Attach two (2) samples of previous work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Provide a competitive fee quote in KES or US$ to perform the assignment.
