Ms Kariuki is currently the icipe Procurement Manager, a position she has held since August 2014. She has previously served as Executive Officer, and as Fundraising Coordinator in the Director General’s office.

She joined icipe in 1998, prior to which she worked at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and CAB International (CABI).

Ms Kariuki holds an MBA from Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI), Tanzania, a BBA from New Port University, USA, and a national diploma in business management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Kenya.
