Ms Annah Njui
Ms Njui is the icipe Grants, Partnerships and Projects Manager, where she provides cradle-to-grave management of the Centre’s research grants, including management of proposal pipeline, grant negotiation, award, compliance monitoring, administration and close-out.
She provides research support and management, maintaining print and electronic project information, while ensuring technical and financial compliance with donor funding and partner research requirements.
With extensive project and programming experience, Ms Njui leads the operationalisation and monitoring of icipe’s Results Based Management (RBM), a performance management system that provides a framework for setting priorities and allocating resources and, in turn, establishes a system to assess results, helps the Centre and its donors better understand, plan, and report the impact of its work.
In recognition by icipe Governing Council, Senior Management and Staff of Ms. Njui’s thriving expertise and contribution to grants, partnerships and projects management, she was awarded icipe’s 2015 Principal Staff of the Year Award; the inaugural year when the staff awards were initiated
Prior to joining icipe, Ms Njui worked with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), as a Programme Officer for the Eastern and Central Africa Regional Programme responsible for programme coordination, programming, planning, project management as well as establishing and managing partnerships in the respective region.
A trained project development specialist, Ms Njui also holds a BSc (Agronomy) and an MSc (Soil Science), both from Egerton University, Kenya.
