INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

Individual Consultant To Provide Interior Design Services For Bio Venture Hub At Icipe Duduville Campus, Kasarani, Nairobi

1. The Bioresources Innovations Network for Eastern Africa Development (BioInnovate Africa) is a regional biosciences research and innovation initiative established in 2010 with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). It is a regional Programme based at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe), and operates in Burundi, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. BioInnovate Africa assists these countries to benefit from the revolutionary advances in biosciences, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development.
2. icipe/BioInnovate Africa seeks to engage an individual consultant to provide interior design service for its Bio Venture Hub. Please find more details in the attached Terms of Reference (TOR) here: LINK
3. icipe now invites interested Consultants who are able to demonstrate technical capability to provide this service.
4. Interested individuals MUST have the following qualifications:
   a. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
   b. Submit an application letter showing full contact details, physical and postal address.
   c. Attach curriculum Vitae and copies of relevant academic certificates.
   d. Attach PIN certificate and valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC).
   e. At least 5 years demonstrable relevant experience of interior design for corporate spaces of a similar nature and magnitude as the icipe Bio Venture Hub.
   f. Strong portfolio showcasing at least 3 examples of similar tasks successfully implemented in the past two years with attachments of the works done.
   g. Provide a competitive and detailed cost breakdown in (KES) to perform the assignment, including all the chargeable taxes.
5. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) must be submitted electronically through e-mail at icipetenders@icipe.org on or before 4th July 2025 at 11:00 hours East Africa Time. The submissions should be clearly marked: ‘Invitation for Bids – Individual consultant to provide interior design service for its Bio Venture Hub’. Late submissions will be rejected.
