Baldwyin Torto, Head of Behavioural and Chemical Ecology Unit, appointed a Fellow of AAS
In April 2014, Prof. Baldwyn Torto was inducted as a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS). He was also selected to serve as a member of AAS’s Commission on Sciences Education, one of four established to build capacity and set the agenda for science in Africa. He has also been invited by AAS to serve on the jury for the award of the Africa Union Prizes.
Fiona Nelima Mumoki, receives AWARD Fellowship
Received the AWARD Fellowship, a highly competitive, merit-based, career-development programme, which aims to foster and mentor women agricultural scientists across sub Saharan Africa. Fiona was also granted an OWSD Postgraduate Training Fellowship, to undertake PhD studies at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, starting in April 2015.
