Dr Shepard Ndlela is a Research Scientist, Agriculture & Climate Change Thematic Research Programme (TRP) at icipe. Shepard holds a PhD in Entomology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, an MSc in Tropical Entomology, an MSc In Management and Organizational Development from the  United States International University-Africa (USIU) and a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Zimbabwe. Prior to joining icipe, Shepard was working with the Tobacco Research Board, Zimbabwe as an Entomologist where his focus was on identifying insect pests and advising farmers on insect pests management, research on good agricultural practices, and integrated pest management. He has also worked as a Curator Entomologist at the Natural History Museum of Zimbabwe.
