INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICE TO REDESIGN A MICRO- SITE AND UPGRADE CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR icipe’s INNOVATION SCALING AND BUSINESS ACCELERATION (ISBA) UNIT
- The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that carries out research and training in sustainable management of insects (arthropods) for improving comprehensive health and agricultural productivity in the tropics (www.icipe.org).
- icipe seeks to engage the services of a Consultant to redesign a micro- site and upgrade content management system for icipe’s Innovation Scaling and Business Acceleration (ISBA) Unit. The redesign should ensure the website is accessible, secure, and scalable, while reflecting the Unit’s role in knowledge dissemination and stakeholder engagement.
- icipe now invites interested qualified individuals who are able to demonstrate technical capability to successfully deliver the above-mentioned assignment. Please find more details in the attached Terms of Reference (TOR) here: DOWNLOAD
- Interested individuals should have the following mandatory qualifications and provide evidence:
(a). A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Digital Media, or a related field from a recognised University. Additional certifications in web design, UI/UX, CMS development, or related technologies will be considered an added advantage.
(b). Submit an application letter showing full contact details, physical and postal address.
(c). Attach curriculum Vitae and copies of academic certificates.
(d). Attach copy of PIN and valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
(e). A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in web design, with a strong portfolio of similar work (especially for research, development, or institutional clients.
(f). At least 3 years of hands-on experience with modern CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
(g). Provide a detailed work plan for performing the assignment with clear timelines.
(h). Provide a competitive fee quote (KES) to perform the assignment, with a clear breakdown of each cost and any chargeable taxes.
The Invitation for Bids (IFB) must be submitted electronically through e-mail at icipetenders@icipe.org on or before 11:00 hours East Africa Time on 11th July 2025. The submissions should be clearly marked: ‘Invitation for Bids – Consultancy service to redesign a micro- site and upgrade content management system for icipe’s Innovation Scaling and Business Acceleration (ISBA) Unit’. Late submissions will be rejected.
