INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB): Provision of Individual Consultancy Service for Licensed and Registered Physical Planner for Lease Extension Planning Work at icipe

  1. The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that carries out research and training in sustainable management of insects (arthropods) for improving comprehensive health and agricultural productivity in the tropics (www.icipe.org).
  2. icipe seeks to engage the services of a duly licensed and registered physical planner to undertake professional planning work required to facilitate the extension of lease on property located within Nairobi County. The services must comply with all relevant legal, technical, and procedural requirements as set out by the Government of Kenya, the Nairobi City County Government, and other relevant authorities.
  3. icipe now invites interested qualified individuals who are able to demonstrate technical capability to successfully deliver the above-mentioned assignment. Please find more details in the attached Terms of Reference (TOR) here: LINK
  4. Interested individuals MUST provide the following:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in planning from a recognised University.
  • Submit an application letter showing full contact details, physical and postal address.
  • Attach curriculum Vitae and copies of academic certificates.
  • Copy of valid Registration Certificate from the Physical Planners Registration Board (PPRB) in Kenya.
  • Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in urban planning and development control within Nairobi County.
  • Detailed work plan for performing the assignment with clear timelines.
  • Competitive fee quote (KES) to perform the assignment, with a clear breakdown of each cost and any chargeable taxes.
  1. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) must be submitted electronically through e-mail at icipetenders@icipe.org on or before 15th May 2025 at 11:00 hours East Africa Time. The submissions should be clearly marked: ‘Invitation for Bids – Individual Consultancy service for a licensed and registered physical planner to undertake professional planning work at icipe’. Late submissions will be rejected.
