INVITATION FOR BIDS – Web Developer

PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB APPLICATION FOR BULK SMS AND FARMER FEEDBACK MANAGEMENT - TTU AND INSEFF

  1. The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that carries out research and training in sustainable management of insects (arthropods) for improving comprehensive health and agricultural productivity in the tropics (www.icipe.org).
     
  2. icipe intends to engage a qualified individual Consultant to develop a web application for bulk SMS and farmer feedback management. The objective of this project is to create a web based, farmer and stakeholders engagement platform to increase awareness on  the use of insects as alternative sources of food for human consumption and feed for livestock; as well as scale up the reach and impact of icipe’s SipFEED program activities  alongside other  IPM and IVM technologies.   3. icipe, now invites interested bidders who are able to demonstrate technical capability to undertake this assignment.
     
  4. Interested bidders should:
    1. Detailed cover letter expressing interest in this assignment, including full contact details (name, tel. e-mail), and physical address, signed by the applicant.
    2. Provide the Consultants detailed CV, including telephone and e-mail contacts, post address and physical location.
    3. Have a university degree in computer Technology or related studies.  Please attach a copy.
    4. Have professional training in web development with at least 1-year experience in web design and development. Please provide evidence.
    5. Have proven history of previously developed websites. Please attach references from at least three (3) organisations you have provided similar service.
    6. Provide a competitive fee quote to perform the assignment with a clear breakdown of each cost and all the chargeable taxes.
       
  5. Completed proposals must be submitted electronically through e-mail icipetenders@icipe.org on or before 11:00 hours East Africa Time on 29th March 2021. The submissions should be clearly marked: ‘Request for Quotations – Provision of consultancy service for development of a web application for bulk SMS and farmer feedback management – TTU and INSEFF”.
