INVITATION FOR BIDS – Organic Certification

INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT TO CONDUCT ORGANIC CERTIFICATION OF YESH/EIF PROJECT SITES AT icipe ETHIOPIA

  1. The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that carries out research and training in sustainable management of insects (arthropods) for improving comprehensive health and agricultural productivity in the tropics (www.icipe.org).
     
  2. icipe intends to engage a qualified Individual Consultant to conduct organic certification of YESH/EIF Project sites at icipe Ethiopia. For more details download the Terms of Reference (TOR) here: http://www.icipe.org/sites/default/files/TOR-OrganicCert.pdf
     
  3. icipe, now invites interested bidders who are able to demonstrate technical capability to undertake this assignment.
     
  4. Interested bidders should provide:
    1. Detailed cover letter expressing interest in this assignment, including full contact details (name, Tel. E-mail), and physical address, signed by the applicant.
    2. Provide the Consultants detailed CV, including telephone and e-mail contacts, post address and physical location.
    3. Have a Bachelor of science (Hons) second upper division degree in environmental studies.  Please attach a copy.
    4. Have proven professional training, knowledge and experience in developing organic standard and certification. Please provide evidence.
    5. Please attach references from at least three (3) organisations you have provided similar service.
    6. Provide a competitive fee quote to perform the assignment with a clear breakdown of each cost and all the chargeable taxes.
       
  5. Completed proposals must be submitted via e-mail (icipetenders@icipe.org) on or before 11:00 hours East Africa Time on 29th March 2021. The submissions should be addressed per the address below and clearly marked: ‘Invitation for Bids – Individual Consultant to Conduct organic certification of YESH/EIF Project sites at icipe Ethiopia”.
