Three years of the MOYESH project: A model for holistic, inclusive development, and circular economies, through beekeeping and sericulture farming
In October 2019, the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and Ethiopia Jobs Creation Commission (JCC), launched the More Young Entrepreneurs in Silk and Honey (MOYESH) project. The five-year initiative aims to see 100,000 young people (60 percent of them women), in Ethiopia, secure dignified and fulfilling jobs along honey and silk value chains.

Nigeria Invests US$4million in PASET’s Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund
NAIROBI, November 14, 2022 — On November 3, the Government of Nigeria has announced a contribution of US$4million, through the World Bank-funded Africa Higher Education Centers of Excellence for Development Impact Project (ACE-Impact), to the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology’s (PASET) Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (RSIF).

Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) to provide core contribution to icipe
New partnership will boost Africa-Australia linkages; and Africa-Asia-Pacific connections
Brisbane, Australia, 2 November 2022: The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), has signed a Partnership Agreement, with icipe, to provide the Centre annual core funding.
