Dr Mark Wamalwa is an Associate Scientist, Modelling and Meta-Analysis, contributing scientific expertise to the Malaria Vector Atlas project, Global Health Thematic Research Programme (TRP) at icipe. Mark holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Western Cape, South Africa; an MSc in Bioinformatics from Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands, and a BSC in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Previously, Mark was a Lecturer at Kenyatta University in the Biochemistry and Biotechnology Department. He has also served as a Postdoctoral Scientist, Bioinformatics, at BecA-ILRI hub, and as a Research Fellow at Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Netherlands.
