Plant Health

The plant health research area of icipe is the Centres oldest and also its largest research agenda. It has the goal of contributing to improved sustainable food security and environmental health through developing integrated pest management (IPM) options that fit farmer's needs because they have been developed on the farm and with farmer participation. Activities under the plant health research area are divided into:

  • Horticultural Crop Pests
  • Staple Food Crop Pests
  • Locusts and Migratory Pests
