Vector Ecology and Disease Workshop

The Vector Ecology and Disease Workshop is designed to provide a ‘one-health’ overview of vectors of animal and human diseases at the interface of humans, animals, plants and the environment. Topics include parasite-vector interactions, vector ecology, multidisciplinary control of vectors - with a focus on mosquitoes, sand flies, tsetse flies and ticks, and the latest exciting research in these areas. The workshop is suitable for professionals in relevant health fields, including research students and faculty in academia and research organizations, and relevant positions in government.

Training will be delivered by faculty from Ohio State University, the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe), Kenya, the University of Nairobi, Kenya, and the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).
