Project Title:  Linking the olfactomes of Tephritid fruit flies and their parasitoids

Raphael is a DRIP PhD scholar supervised by Drs. Samira Mohammed, Xavier Cheseto, Shepard Ndlela (icipe) and Prof. Teun Dekker (SLU). He is currently researching on the convergence in the olfactomes of the parasitoids; Fopius arisanus, Psyttalia cosyraea and Diachasmimorpha longicaudata in relation to those of their hosts; Bactrocera dorsalis and Ceratitis cosyra, niche odors, both fruits as well as microbial funded by CAP AFRICA ECO AND INVASIVE Project.

Raphael holds an undergraduate Bachelor of Education Science and a Master’s in Chemistry from Kenyatta University, Kenya.
