Research project: Implication of landscape structure and bioclimatic variables on pollinators in avocado production systems in Murang’a County, Kenya

Eunice is a DRIP MSc scholar supervised by Dr. Elfatih Mohamed Abdel-Rahman (icipe) and Dr. Paul Obade (Kenyatta University). She is using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing to characterize the complex landscape of Murang’a and model the relationship between the landscape structure, bioclimatic variables, and pollinator’s occurrence, diversity, and abundance. Her research is an objective under Integrated Pest and Pollinators Management (IPPM) funded by BMZ/GIZ. Eunice holds a degree in Environmental Planning and Management (EPM) from Kenyatta University.
