Research project: Study on the mechanism of insecticide resistance and pathogen transmission in bedbugs (cimex lentularius)

Dennis is a DRIP MSc scholar supervised by Drs. Fathiya Khamis(icipe), Komivi Akutse (icipe) and Dr. Florence Ng’ong’a (JKUAT).  His research interest is on determining the mechanism of insecticide resistance and pathogen transmission in bed bugs (Cimex.lectularius).  He is currently undertaking his fieldwork which majorly involves collecting bed bug samples and questionnaire distribution across different counties of the country.

He completed his BSc studies in Biochemistry at Karatina University, Kenya, and is registered for his MSc in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya.
