Silver Jubilee Symposium
Agreed that

It would be a four day event, from 18 – 21 November 2008
Venue would be Duduville Conference Hall; this would be booked well in advance of the event
Theme would be: “The Thomas R Odhiambo vision; 25 years of ARPPIS and Bugs for improved livelihoods in Africa”
Programme for the celebrations would be as follows:

17th – arrival of participants
18th– Opening Ceremony: Opening remarks, Official opening by guest of honour, Kenya’s Minister for Science & Technology and keynote address (session I) and . scientific presentations (session II).
19th scientific presentations and poster session (session III)
20th Jubilee Celebrations (session IV): Presentations from invited guests including selected donor agencies (DAAD, DSO, UNESCO), Kenya National Council for Science and Technology; Reflection on ARPPIS by representative of Alumni supervisors, ARPPIS Academic Board & ARRPIS Coordinators (Dr Musewe/Dr Smalley/Dr Dabrowsky) and exhibits.
ARPPIS- ASA-TRO/ICIPE Foundation launch; presentation from Governing Council; ICIPE Director-General; presentation of awards and reception.
21st ASA Business Session (session V): Reports from ASA office bearers, election of new officers and departures
