Mrs. Murithi is the Resource Mobilisation Manager under the Director General’s Office at icipe.

She holds a BA in Sociology from Egerton University, and an MA in Rural Sociology and Community Development from University of Nairobi, both in Kenya. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, USA. 

Mrs. Murithi has been instrumental in identifying and supporting fundraising efforts through development and submission of concept notes and proposals; building relations with existing and potential donors and research collaborators; serving as resource person for the Governing Council and Senior Management Committee Meetings; and coordinating strategic Centre-wide meetings, seminars and events.

Some of Mrs. Murithi’s achievements include the successful coordination of fundraising efforts for programmes/projects such as the MOre Young entrepreneurs in Silk and Honey (MOYESH) programme, the largest single restricted grant in the history of icipe.
