Mr Muigai joined icipe in  February 2015  as Internal Auditor. He holds an MBA – finance option, and a BCom degree, accounting option from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.  He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K). Prior to joining icipe, Mr Muigai worked with Nation Media Group, Kenya, as a Senior Internal Auditor, where he was involved in reviewing financial and operational internal controls.

As icipe’s Internal Auditor, Mr Muigai is responsible for reviewing the design and effectiveness of the risk management system and internal controls on an on-going basis, and issues periodic reports to the Director General and to the Governing Council, through the Audit & Finance Committee summarising the results of internal audit activities.
